In 2022, as part of an experiment, we conducted a very late harvest in a vineyard with an exceptionally favorable location, achieving nearly 100% botrytis infection in the grapes. Once we saw the outstanding quality of the raw material, we decided to follow a similar technological process to that of traditional Aszú production, and thus Laposa Héra was born. If anything, this is truly a terroir wine, the essence of the vineyard, and its sugar content rivals that of a 5-puttonyos Aszú.

Zeus is a unique Hungarian grape variety created by crossing Ezerjó and Bouvier. It has a rich bouquet and flavor profile with fruity notes, and is ideally suited for producing high-quality wines, such as aszú and dessert wines. Its unique character is enhanced by the right growing conditions and careful harvesting, which are particularly well-suited to the volcanic soils of Badacsony. 2022 was a vintage with a high concentration of aszú in the Badacsony wine region, so we were able to harvest aszú berries from the Badacsonyörs area. Thanks to this, we were able to produce a wine with a very high alcohol content, whose sugar content is also extremely high—150 grams per liter—which corresponds to the sugar content of an aszú. Its aroma reveals a multitude of dried fruits; it is exceptionally rich in flavor and has great aging potential.
