Volcanic features, barrel of aces, varietal character: everything that is seriously Badacsony. Italian Riesling made according to our father's taste, a real nostalgic item that brings people together. In a bottle: dr. József Laposa, the wine's inspiration, Jenő Csiszár, the wine's namesake, and Győző Somogyi, a painter and family friend, created the wine's image.

"This wine represents the old great wines, with a higher alcohol content, a substantial, mature flavor and the unmistakable softness characteristic of Badacsony. We are trying to use it to show the characteristics of the growing area," says József Laposa. The raw material of the wine comes from the Laposa parents' first own land, the Olaszrizling field on the southern slopes of Badacsony.
A mature, classic item, the aroma mainly shows dried fruits, the taste has a long, marked finish. We recommend it for family lunches, dinners, meaningful conversations, or just for thoughts.

This item was bottled in a 1.5-liter Magnum bottle, which emphasizes high-quality wines. The advantage is that the wine matures more optimally in the larger bottle and has a better aging potential.

Welschriesling

Quite in contrast to its European name – which means Romanic Riesling or Olaszrizling in Hungarian – this variety of wine is neither Italian nor Riesling. Its origin is still disputed; however, we know that it has been brought to the Carpathian Basin from our Western European neighbours. Although it shares part of its name with Rhine Riesling, they are genetically unrelated. Having found its perfect home in Central Europe, the variety is grown by several wine regions in Hungary. For most Hungarians, the name Olaszrizling has become synonymous with white wine. Suitable to produce light white wines as well as full-bodied items with long ageing potential…Or for a nice spritzer in summer!
